Nilgala park which is in the Uva provinces of Sri Lanka is now open for the general public. The forest spreads over 26000 hectares and administered by both forest and wildlife conservation departments of Sri Lankan government. The park can be approached either from Colombo-Kandy-Bibila, on Bibila-Inginiyagala road or on Bibila- Batticoloa road.
Gal oya is the longest and largest river in nilgala national park.It is very beautiful and valuable river situated in this park. The dam in Senanayaka samudraya has built across this river When you travel through 16 KM in the forest level, you will meet the white pan are available for camping site.
